... with respect and affection
“From the start, the carers from Border Care engaged with my father assessing his needs, interests and values, and were not just carers to him, but also good friends. He enjoyed his visits from Border Care staff, and they did much to maintain his morale as well as his safety. Border Care staff were very willing to be flexible if care needs changed or extra cover was needed. The carers treated my father with respect and affection, and we can only offer our thanks and praise”
...went beyond your “job description”
"My brother and I were happy with the service you and your team provided during the last year of our father's life.
Initially he was quite reluctant to admit that he needed help at all and I think he must have been a bit difficult to work with because of it.
As his health deteriorated he was very grateful indeed for your support, and of course towards the end of his life he become frightened of being left and difficult in a different way, because he didn’t want your carers to leave him at the end of their scheduled visits.
My
brother and I are hugely appreciative of the way you personally helped us to organise live in care for his final few weeks. It was hard for us living so far away and we know you went beyond your “ job description” to juggle visits from our father’s friends and organise relief cover for the other care agency, as well as liaising with GPs.
The contrast between the other agency and yours was not flattering to them!
I realise how fortunate we were to have found Border Care, as your small team work together so well. We were touched to see you at our father's funeral too. "

...On behalf of my late mum and myself, I could not recommend them enough
"I could not recommend Border Care more highly,
the care for my mother was second to none. Each and
every member of their team would go above and beyond
the call of duty, nothing was too much trouble, even calling
off duty to see if mum or myself were ok.
Border Care would also liaise with outisde health care teams
i.e doctors, district nurses, or who ever needed to be
contacted at anytime.
Mum thought very highly
of Lorna and her team and would look forward to their visits every day.
On behalf of my late mum and myself, I could not recommend Border Care enough, and I would especially like to thank Lorna for a great care package during a difficult time.
